The buzz around CBD is louder than ever with so many different forms from topicals and capsules to edibles and flower, CBD has evolved to be suitable for just about everyone! Especially if you live in a legal state you may have noticed how quickly CBD has hit the scene!
What is CBD?
CBD is short for cannabidiol and it is found as a chemical compound in the Cannabid Sativa plant. CBD occurs naturally and is used in products like oils and edibles to bring a relaxed and calm sensation on the user. Unlike the most know cousin, THC, which is a major psychoactive ingredient in marijuana, CBD has no psychoactive properties.
I won’t get “high” though, right?
Absolutely not. The reason being is that the cannabis plant contains two main properties: CBD and THC. CBD being a non-psychoactive property means that you won’t experience any euphoric effects.
However, there are two possible exceptions to this. One being that for some unexplained reason certain people, about 5% say they feel altered after taking CBD. This group is typically the same people that see the side effects from over the counter medicines like Advil and Tylenol.
All-in-all you never truly know just how YOUR body would react to a new supplement, so it is always nice to ease into it in a comfortable environment!
